Exciting news that all Web3 fans have been waiting for has just been unleashed. Dan Harmon, the mastermind behind Rick & Morty, finally has a premiere date for his highly anticipated blockchain-backed animated TV series Krapopolis. So, set a countdown for September 24!

The initial debut of the television series will roll out on FOX TV, offering a double dose of entertaining episodes that promise to leave viewers in stitches. Notably, a celebrity-rich cast will feature, including Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddingham, Matt Berry from What We Do In The Shadows, and I.T. Crowd’s Richard Ayoade.

For those who miss the first chapter on FOX TV, fear not! Krapopolis will be viewable on HULU the following day. Additionally, it will be available for streaming on platforms like JustWatch.

Krapopolis’ NFT Odyssey Enhances Entertainment

Web3 enthusiasts are particularly intrigued by Krapopolis because of its NFT saga. Harmon joined forces with Blockchain Creative Labs to create the Krapopolis-featured NFT collection ‘Krap Chickens’. In order to secure the most desirable NFTs out of the batch — ‘Keys to Krapopolis‘ — fans embarked on a digital scavenger on December 7. One of these assets was also awarded to the winner of a Krapopolis-themed quiz.

Keys to Krapopolis are ultra-rare digital assets that grant collectors the unique opportunity to make an appearance as a background character in the television season’s finale. Additional assets open other rewards, such as event tickets, virtual goods, and tangible merchandise. Although full details of the prizes remain uncertain, the perk to shine on FOX TV and beyond has led the NFT collection to garner a total trading volume of $857,093. (538 ETH) on OpenSea. 

As the Krapopolis TV series finally takes over television screens, not only will it amuse viewers but also showcase the limitless potential of the blockchain when linking with entertainment.
